I am a parent or carer and I don’t want my child or children to participate in the trial, what do I do?

Parents and carers can choose to withdraw their child or children at any time. Before the pilot begins, parents and carers can sign the ‘opt-out’ form to notify the service that they do not wish for their child to participate in the pilot. Their child’s details will not be added to the system by the service, and the child will not participate in the pilot.

If a parent or carer decides they no longer consent to their child participating in the pilot after the pilot has already begun, they can sign the ‘opt-out’ form and provide the form to their child’s service. The service will then notify ACER to request the removal of the child or children’s data from our systems. The service will then notify the parent or carer once the process is complete. Please note that the process can take up to 48 hours after receipt of the request by ACER.
